Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson, and Ty Gibbs set to take on USAC Turkey Night Grand Prix
A trio of NASCAR Cup Series talents are headlining the weekend entry list for the USAC Turkey Night Grand Prix in Ventura. Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson, and Ty Gibbs are all entered in the high-profile dirt race which will culminate in the feature on Saturday night.
Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson were in Bakersfield earlier this week. Both had less-than-ideal results. Busch almost made the feature before losing power in his car while leading his heat. Larson had to retire with mechanical issues and finished second to last.
For Gibbs, this is his USAC Midgets debut. Joe Gibbs Racing is allowing its drivers to race on dirt again, and Gibbs is eager to give it a shot.
FloRacing is going to have coverage of the Turkey Night Grand Prix. There are over 50 drivers on the entry list and less than 30 spots in the feature on Saturday night. That means Busch, Larson, and Gibbs will have to earn their way into the big show.
Last week, Kyle Larson won a pair of races at Merced Speedway. He is hoping to add to his win total this season, a year where he has already won across multiple series from NASCAR to USAC to 360 Sprint, and more.
Kyle Busch is getting into Midget racing for the first time. He is hoping that he can make his Chili Bowl Nationals debut and have success as well in a little over a monthโs time. Rowdy is ready to sling dirt.

Kyle Busch is getting better on dirt, Kyle Larson looking for win
For a driver who did not race dirt until his late-30s, Kyle Busch is catching on quickly. Sprint cars have been a real learning experience for Busch and his son Brexton. Now he is moving up to a Midget and testing himself against the best dirt racers in America.
Dirt racing is going to get a bigger spotlight in the next year or so. With Ty Gibbs, Christopher Bell, and Chase Briscoe all returning or starting to race on dirt, thatโs a big deal. Kyle Larson wonโt be the only Cup Series star racing on dirt and capable of winning races, too.
A lot of drivers see a big benefit to dirt racing. Car control is a huge skill that racing on dirt helps with. Young drivers are coming out of the dirt ranks and showing a real talent for stock car racing with the skills they picked up in sprint cars. Gibbs and Busch are looking to improve their racecraft, Larson is looking for a win.
American motorsports is best when it all works together. NASCAR stars taking on USAC Midget races is exactly what racing as a whole needs. Kyle Busch and Ty Gibbs will bring new eyes to the races this weekend and will likely excite regular dirt fans wanting to see how the pavement drivers adapt.
