What is Kyle Busch up to? Rowdy made a cryptic post on Twitter/X following today’s race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The NASCAR champion has an announcement for Monday night at a very specific time that longtime fans will

Kyle Busch has had a lot of rumors and talk about him the last year or so. There is talk about displeasure with Richard Childress Racing and how his performances have been.

So, you tell me. Does this post signal anything to you?

“News at 18:51 on Monday,” Kyle Busch posted. What could it mean?

For those who are longtime Rowdy Nation this makes a little bit of sense. 18 was his number at Joe Gibbs Racing. 51 was his number at Kyle Busch Motorsports for years in the Truck Series. But what could it mean in this context?

Busch might be teasing some new merch. He could be hinting at a return for KBM? Or maybe this is his way of saying that he is going to leave Richard Childress Racing and head back to Toyota? It is hard to say.

Today at Homestead-Miami, Busch did not have a great race. It was another example of all that has been wrong at RCR the last few years. No speed, adjustments didn’t work, and Busch called it before the race began.

When I say Kyle Busch rallied to a P21 finish, I mean it. He was riding in the 30s most of the race it seemed. His car wasn’t on TV really at all for the entire 400 miles. Maybe he has had enough.

Don’t get too caught up in Kyle Busch announcement

Now, it would be easy to get caught up in this announcement. But the 18:51 number is just too interesting not to speculate about, isn’t it? Announcing a team change in March would be very surprising, though.

Most of the time, drivers and teams wait until later in the year to announce new signings. It helps teams keep morale high when a driver is being fired or is leaving for another opportunity. Don’t want everyone giving up on the season.

Then again, if Busch doesn’t see this working out with RCR, maybe he pulls the trigger sooner than later? I’d like to point out that Busch has a close relationship with Spire Motorsports. They have three cars and three drivers for those cars, and I doubt he wants to team up with Carson Hocevar. But, something to think about if you are convinced he is leaving for another organization.

What do you think this Kyle Busch announcement is all about? Is this going to be a lot of nothing to will it be the next big move for Rowdy in the NASCAR Cup Series?
