When you win from the pole, it is a big deal. Kyle Busch is planning his celebration already after his “perfect weekend.” Despite all of the problems that went on during the NASCAR race, Busch maintained his composure and just kept plugging away. Now he’s got his third win of the season and is ready to celebrate accordingly.

This week wasn’t just about NASCAR for the Busch family, either. Kyle and Brexton Busch hit the local dirt tracks and both picked up a win on the same night earlier in the week. Of course, the whole family was right there to watch Rowdy take the win.

“Yeah absolutely,” Busch said when asked about the weekend. “That was pretty awesome, man. To sit on the pole lead a lot of laps and have my guys do such a great job today was pretty phenomenal for us. Great for RCR, just win, baby! Thanks Team Chevy. Appreciate 3CHI. Don’t forget, hey, guess what, the No. 8 special. Free chicken tenders at Cheddar’s on Monday, hey! All the fans go out and celebrate with us, we’re going to have a great time with this one, this one’s pretty cool.”

Kyle Busch is in rare form right now. And that is good for his sponsors. Now that Busch has multiple primary partners, he is all about name-dropping them. Especially that No. 8 special at Cheddar’s.

Given the fact that Busch was a disappointing P2 in this race last year, it had to feel good to get redemption. The fact that he was able to do it in a new car with a new team makes it even more impressive. From the pole to the checkered flag. Those tenders are going to taste good for Busch and the family.

Kyle Busch survives restart after restart

Once again, Kyle Busch was leading a race that just didn’t want to end. He has been bitten on superspeedways in the past with restarts. However, the Enjoy Illinois 300 would not turn out like Daytona earlier this season. Despite five restarts in the last 40 or so laps of the race, Busch held on.

To make it even more interesting, Busch had to hold off Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin. Larson was a rock most of the day, with no speed and little momentum. Then, that Hendrick No. 5 team got him tuned up and ready to compete.

It also didn’t help that a very fast Denny Hamlin was looking to play spoiler on the final overtime restart. While Busch’s crew chief Randall Burnett was sweating it out, Rowdy was on the track making sure he could put this race away.

By the time the white flag flew and the final lap came around, Kyle Busch was well out front and had the race in his own hands. Thankfully, his brake rotor held up on that last lap around. The same could not be said for many drivers that had their rotors blow up on the track.

Three wins, what is to stop Busch from picking up some more before the playoffs?
