Kyle Busch recaps 'fun few days' racing alongside son Brexton
Kyle Busch is not having a great Cup Series season, but the NASCAR star got to spend some time on the track with his son Brexton this week. On X, Busch shared photos of him and his son racing in Pennslyvania.
“Been a fun a few days racing alongside Brex in PA. Had solid speed, and seen a lot of #RowdyNation at the track!” Busch wrote. “Two more nites of dirt before Indy!”
Brexton is following in his father’s footsteps, winning his share of dirt races. In February, Brexton, who drives for Kyle Busch Motorsports, signed a three-year sponsorship contract extension with Servpro Industries LLC.
In an interview with FloRacing last year, Brexton revealed the cars his mom, Samantha Busch, doesn’t want him to drive. “Yeah, probably get to micros, maybe midgets,” Brexton said. “My mom doesn’t want me to get into midgets, though.”
Kyle Busch echoed the sentiment but also said he might let Brexton in the car one day. “Exactly. Mom would not like the midget class. But we’ll give it a whirl one day, we’ll see how that goes,” Busch said. “See what we like doing throughout the micros.”

Kevin Harvick makes bleak prediction on Kyle Busch
As Busch continues to support Brexton’s racing career, he’s looking to get his season back on track. NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick spoke about Busch on Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour this week and said he said Busch likely won’t win a race this regular seasons.
“We’ve talked about this before on the show. He’s just at this point where, the cars aren’t fast enough, stuff is falling off the cars, they have issue after issue. When it goes good, he gets in somebody else’s mess. There’s nothing that’s going right for Kyle Busch,” Harvick said. “Most of the time, recently, they haven’t had the speed to even do what they need to do, to try and make up for that, because that’s the difference, between the No. 20 and the No. 11 and some of these other cars that are having issues. They have the speed. That keeps the confidence level high.
“Kyle still has the maturity level, at this particular point, to not get himself buried deeper after the race with his interviews, but man, what a terrible position the No. 8 car is in. I don’t see a win anywhere in sight, for the No. 8.”
