Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski tangled in first big wreck at Talladega

We have our first wreck of the day, and it happens in Stage 1! Kyle Busch got tangled up with Brad Keselowski and Ryan Blaney. Toyotas from 23XI Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing pushed the pace early, and the other NASCAR teams paid for it.
Getting to pit road and off cleanly is half the battle today at Talladega. The Toyota group made it to pit road and back off it. Then, as the Fords and a few Chevys were coming to pit road, disaster struck.
Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski, and more were involved in this wreck. We are going to see a couple of drivers under the Damaged Vehicle Policy. Keselowski and Busch both drove to pit road on their own power, but Blaney needed a tow.
While Keselowski drove to pit road under his own power, his car was towed to the garage. Busch had to meet minimum speed and get back to pit road for more adjustments and repairs.
This all started when the Toyotas of JGR and 23XI began pushing pace. That group went to pit road after stretching the field out of the four-wide parade they started in. With the field stretched out, they were forced to respond to the Toyota group. They just couldn’t pull it off.
Perhaps crew chiefs have gotten tired of the fuel-saving races. It is about time that we have seen teams attempt to change the strategy at one of these drafting tracks. Let’s get the speed up and make things uncomfortable.
Kyle Busch will try to get back into the thick of it. With how the race is playing out, he will likely have multiple chances to make repairs and get his car right again.

Major consequences for Kyle Busch, Ryan Blaney, Brad Keselowski
The consequences of this early wreck will only continue to reveal themselves. It turns out that Blaney and Keselowski are done for in this race. Not even the expanded DVP rule will save those teams at this point.
Kyle Busch is going to just try to hold onto the pack. That is all he can do. If he loses the draft, then he is going to fall back and never make it back towards the front. It is a long race and if he plays it smart, then he should be able to make something of this afternoon.
Even if Busch rides around and just tries to beat the cars that DNF, he will pick up points. If he can’t get his car back to winning speed then he will have to settle for what he can get.
Blaney has four DNFs this season. Not ideal. Kyle Busch is trying to avoid adding a DNF to his record for 2025. So, who ends up winning this wild race at Talladega?
