Kyle Busch has had a challenging 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season, but things look promising for him and Richard Childress Racing in 2025. While speaking exclusively with On3 last week, Busch talked about his expectations with Richard Childress Racing next year.

“We’ve actually kind of already been working on that a little bit,” Busch told On3. “We have run stronger since the Olympic break that we’ve had this year. Our team has come out after that break with a couple different faces on it and new players and places that have made us a little stronger. We have had better runs.

“And so that’s been a big part of what we’ve been doing already that we can do. And then of course also through the off-season we’ve got some new people that are joining our team and our organization at Richard Childress Racing from other organizations or from Stewart-Haas Racing, which is closing down at the end of the year. There were some really good folks over there that have taken positions with us, so we’re excited to get them on board and get them in and start the process.”

Busch has yet to win a race this year and has not had a top-10 finish since placing seventh at Atlanta Motor Speedway before the playoffs began. However, the two-time Cup Series champion has many positives to take away from this season.

Kyle Busch explains the ‘family’ connection with Straight Talk Wireless

“I would say we’ve definitely shown some good strength that some racetracks this year that we’ve been in position to win,” Busch explained. “We had a second at Daytona, we had a second at Darlington. We were leading the race in the final stages at Kansas. We could have, should have won that one. I messed up. So Vegas earlier this year we were leading a lot of laps and running up front there. So there’s been some good moments of where we had strengths, a lot of the down times or the races that we weren’t as strong, we didn’t get as good of finishes as we wanted to. So we know that we’ve got some things that we can work on this winter in order to get ourselves a lot better for next year.”

Ahead of the Straight Talk Wireless 400 this past Sunday, Kyle Busch partnered with Straight Talk Wireless for The Family Dynasty Plan Sweepstakes. The winner, who was notified after the Straight Talk Wireless 400, earned a check for $108,000, the cash equivalent to buy a three-time Silver Unlimited family plan with unlimited talk, text and data for 100 years from Straight Talk Wireless.

“Family for me is such a huge part of what I do and so something that is the same for Straight Talk Wireless, so it’s easy for me to be able to get behind and support,” Busch said. “We’ve had times in which I’m racing across the country in Las Vegas for instance, and my son is over in Tulsa, Oklahoma racing. So for us to stay connected as a family to hear all about his day and his successes and him having fun doing what he loves to do is a great partnership. So we’re excited to launch the Family Dynasty Plan sweepstakes for any lucky fan in the next Great Family Dynasty to win 100 years of service.”
