Kyle Larson might be a High Limit High Roller, but he still likes to race with the World of Outlaws from time to time. Just after midnight as Friday turned to Saturday, the NASCAR points leader drove from 21st to the win at I-55 Raceway.

The win wasn’t the only thing that Kyle Larson came away with. Always one to keep track of his heart rate during races, Larson reached a new max. 198BPM as the race was coming to an end.

When you watch this thrilling finish, where Larson wins by 0.053 seconds, you will understand exactly why that is.

After the race, Larson revealed his heart rate throughout the feature. He had quite a ride around I-55 Raceway.

James McFadden had enough distance to get the win. As soon as he found that lapped car in front of him, Noah Gass, it was too late to move and keep his momentum. Despite recovering well, Larson had an open door.

Leave it cracked, and Kyle Larson will come barging in. Larson wrapped the bottom, slipped by Gass and stole the win from under McFadden’s nose. It was one of the better runs he has had this season on the dirt.

Kyle Larson took short vacation, back to racing

With the Olympic break taking place after Indianapolis, Kyle Larson took his family to Italy. That was where his pasta comment came from while talking about his heart rate. He must have been itching to race again, because he put on a show.

Going from P21 to P1 in a 30-lap sprint car race is a wild feat. Even if he had finished P2 it would have been a race worthy of praise. The fact he put himself in the right place at the right time and took the checkered flag speaks to his talent.

Kyle Larson is leading the points standings in the NASCAR Cup Series. He leads Chase Elliott, his Hendrick teammate, by 10 points. There is a tight battle with Tyler Reddick 15 points behind Larson in third.

As the NASCAR season is about to restart for the final 14 races of the year, Larson will be racing a lot more than that. It feels like he is in the same form as 2021, and we all know what happened at Phoenix that year. Championship.
