Kyle Larson explains importance of increasing payouts for High Limit Racing

On top of his NASCAR career, Kyle Larson is also a co-owner in the High Limit Racing sprint car series, and it’s a big deal. This year was the first full-scale season since Larson and brother-in-law Brad Sweet purchased the All Star Circuit of Champions.
Kyle Larson and the High Limit Racing series have helped reshape sprint car racing. The longstanding World of Outlaws series has responded to a number of changes and improvements made by their rival.
Speaking to Brad Gillie as part of the Race Industry Week live webinars, Larson talked about his sprint car series. He likes what they have done, but is looking forward to what else they can accomplish.
“I think it was obviously a big topic when we started our series was to try to make it healthier for the teams and, especially for the teams but the drivers involved also,” Kyle Larson explained. “I think it’s important to kind of advertise what we’re paying out, and we still want to get way better. It’s not, it’s a lot better than what the All Stars were but still, you know, probably got room to grow. It’s just tough.
“You know, you have to have the money to do it and crowds play a big part in that. So, we try to strive for making our show really entertaining to get the crowds and all that. Yeah, we’re still kind of working through how a charter looks in sprint car racing. It’s quite a bit different than NASCAR obviously with the massive TV contracts and stuf like that that comes in there. So, trying to kind of figure out the right way to shape that to make it beneficial for everybody involved and much better than what it is.”

When it comes to racing, Kyle Larson does about all of it. The only thing he seems unable to do is actually work on a racecar. Doesn’t matter when you can hop into anything and compete for a win.
2025 will be a big step for High Limit Racing. The All Star Circuit is also returning as a regional series. So, fans are going to have a little more racing action to watch next year.
Sprint car racing is in a good place right now. Dirt racing overall is in a good place. With people like Kyle Larson behind the scenes, it isn’t hard to see why that is.
