There is no offseason when your name is Kyle Larson. Yung Money is in the midst of eight straight days of racing between two continents. Fresh off his record-setting $100,000 win at Perth Motorplex in Australia, the NASCAR champion is back in the States for the Tulsa Shootout.

Kyle Larson won the largest purse in Australian sprint car racing history. Now he’s ready to race four different divisions at the Tulsa Shootout. Larson will have a short break between the Shootout and the Chili Bowl but right now, it’s all gas no brakes.

In Tulsa now, Larson and his son Owen are competing for Golden Drillers. On top of that, the Larson family is celebrating two-year-old Cooper’s birthday. It won’t be long before we see the youngest of the group racing in Tulsa, I’m sure.

Kyle Larson spoke to Blake Anderson of FloRacing about his international travels and racing eight days in a row between two countries.

“Yeah, it was really quick. I don’t know, the checkered flag was like 10 PM probably in Perth and then my flight was at like 5 in the morning. So, stayed up all night in the casino – all night, really it was only like two hours once we got back to the casino. Then yeah, headed to the airport and Perth to Sydney and then Sydney to LAX and then had a tight connection to get on the direct flight here. Yeah, then once I got here, straight to the building, ran around, got my pit pass and ran straight in to get my outlaw car.

“Pretty crazy that like 24 hours ago I was in Australia. Yeah, it’s pretty neat and cool to be here with Chad Boat now.”

Kyle Larson was great in his heat race on Tuesday night. He earned a ton of passing points in the Winged Outlaw. These micro cars are so much fun, but not Larson’s specialty.

In his heat race, Larson went from 10th to 3rd after a very short practice session. Again, this man has been traveling the world and racing along the way. Yet, he’s still showing why he is one of the best race car drivers in the world.

Yung Money wasn’t the only Cup Series driver with a race last night. Kyle Busch went out and won his heat race by more than two seconds. Busch has had troubles in his first couple of midget races. However, he has a bit of experience now in the micros.

Kyle Larson and Busch will both compete in multiple divisions. Both will have their sons competing as well. Brexton vs. Owen could be more intense than Kyle vs. Kyle. There are so many races to watch.

Get ready for the NASCAR season by watching the Cup Series stars on the dirt in Oklahoma. You won’t regret watching the Tulsa Shootout or the Chili Bowl coming up.
