Another win at Homestead-Miami Speedway and Kyle Larson is climbing the all-time wins list at Hendrick Motorsports. When Larson was included in NASCAR’s 75 Greatest Drivers, many felt it was premature. Yung Money keeps reminding us it wasn’t.

With his win today, Kyle Larson has 24 wins at Hendrick Motorsports. He has 30 total wins in his Cup Series career. Only Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon have won more races for Rick Hendrick in the last 41 years.

Everyone knew that Larson was going to be the driver to beat. He didn’t dominate. Ryan Blaney led the most laps. Bubba Wallace led the second most. But it was the 5 car who was leading on the last lap.

Two wins in three races this weekend. One Xfinity Series overtime away from a sweep.

This race was going to come down to a Hendrick driver. Kyle Larson had to battle with Alex Bowman late. They were both really good in this race tonight and showed a lot of that Hendrick power and speed. But it was the way they ran the wall that put them upfront.

Here are the full results, via Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports. A few surprising performances. Ryan Preece might be the real deal, folks.

Early in this race, Kyle Larson was a non-factor. He was getting into the wall time and time again. 27 times in this race he had the fastest lap on the track. And he only led 19 laps total. That was enough to get the job done today.

In the Truck Series race, Larson didn’t dominate. He didn’t dominate the Cup race, either. But he did dominate the Xfinity Series race, leading most of it and lapping all but four other cars. Guess which race he didn’t win and guess which race had an overtime restart.

Kyle Larson punches ticket to playoffs

Not that it was any doubt, really, but Kyle Larson is now in the NASCAR Playoffs. He is two wins away from tying Dale Jarrett for 29th all-time in Cup Series wins. Larson is averaging 5.75 wins per season at Hendrick Motorsports since 2021 and roughly four wins per season since 2022.

If Larson ends up winning five races this year, he will have 34 wins total. That would tie him with Kurt Busch and Martin Truex Jr. in wins. Each of those drivers has a championship as well.

This was a different Homestead-Miami race than we have seen recently. It was still a good race. There wasn’t a lot of side-by-side racing. That was largely because we didn’t have a lot of cautions. Still, it felt like an old-school 1.5-mile race.

In the end, we got to see another great Kyle Larson performance. When he is in his element and able to use his skills to separate himself from the competition, it is a beautiful thing.
