Rams coach Sean McVay, wife reveal they're expecting first child
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay and his wife Veronika Khomyn are expecting their first child in a few short months, the couple revealed on Father’s Day. Khomyn shared that this would be McVay’s last childless Father’s Day in a touching post on Instagram.
“Guess who’s becoming a dad this football season!” Khomyn wrote. “Baby boy McVay is coming this fall and we’re so excited to meet him and love on him. I can’t believe he’s been growing in my belly for five months already.”
The couple’s dog also got involved in the pregnancy reveal photoshoot. The lovable pitbull pup wore a bandana that read: “I thought I was the baby!”
McVay and Khomyn tied the knot a year ago in Beverly Hills, California. The pair met when the Rams coach was working for the Redskins in D.C. and she was a student at George Mason University. McVay popped the question in 2019 while they were on vacation together in France.
Fatherhood will be a new challenge for the Rams head coach as he enters his seventh season leading the team.
One year after winning the Super Bowl, Los Angeles struggled, posting the worst record of McVay’s tenure yet at 5-12.

The Rams picked up 14 newcomers via the 2023 NFL Draft. All those young players in the facilities have the 37-year-old coach feeling refreshed.
“It’s very different and refreshing,” McVay said. “I think in a lot of instances those are things that when you just reflect back, you take for granted. This is the closest thing since 2018 in terms of actually doing some real team work.”
During OTAs and minicamp, the Rams staff took the team back to the basics to get everyone on the same page. They now have until the end of July to rest up for training camp.
“We were able to really reestablish, how do we want to operate?” McVay said. “What are the ways that we’re teaching these things to make it as digestible as possible for the players? How can you get a little bit ahead of it?”
