The Los Angeles Chargers (8-4) will be without rookie wideout Ladd McConkey for the Week 14 Sunday Night Football road contest against the Kansas City Chiefs (11-1).

McConkey, listed as questionable coming into the game, is out with a shoulder and knee injury. McConkey was limited all week in practice with the injuries.

Going into Arrowhead Stadium in primetime is not an easy task, let alone without McConkey — the Chargers’ leading receiver this season. McConkey came into Week 14 with 58 receptions for 815 yards and four touchdowns. His 815 yards were the most of any rookie wideout.

Los Angeles has struggled to get consistent production from its receivers aside from McConkey. Josh Palmer has 414 yards on 24 catches this season, while Quentin Johnston has as many receptions for 366 yards, to go along with a team-leading six touchdowns. Tight end Will Dissly has come on of late, second among Chargers pass catchers with 41 catches.

Chargers set for rematch with Chiefs without Ladd McConkey

The Chargers have won five of their last six games, coming off a 17-13 road win over the Atlanta Falcons (6-7). Los Angeles and Kansas City went head-to-head at SoFi Stadium back in Week 4, the Chiefs coming out on top, 17-10.

“[The Chiefs] do an incredible job with everything that they do,” head coach Jim Harbaugh said earlier this week, via Tyler Dragon of USA Today. “Run game, pass game, protection, scheme [and] execution. [It’s] a tall task. We are working our way through it for the second time. Compiling the game plan that gives us our best chance of winning.”
