Landon Dickerson injury: Cam Jurgens enters game for hobbled Eagles OL despite back issues
Cam Jurgens is in the game.
The Philadelphia Eagles center, who is active but did not start Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Washington Commanders due to a back injury, has replaced the injured Landon Dickerson. Dickerson started the game at center in place of Jurgens but was limited through much of the first half with a left knee injury. Dickerson, who has a brace on his knee, is questionable to return.
Jurgens’ status was one of the bigger questions coming into the game. Jurgens, who head coach Nick Sirianni called a game-time decision, tested out his back in pregame warmups. It initially looked as if Jurgens would be unable to play, but then Philadelphia declared him active. That appeared to be in case of emergency, which is indeed the situation.

Cam Jurgens forced into NFC Championship Game after Landon Dickerson injury
Dickerson initially slid over inside while Tyler Steen got the start at left guard. Dickerson entered the game having played just 42 snaps at center in his NFL career. Dickerson, however, was a unanimous All-American and named the nation’s best center in his senior season at Alabama. Despite playing through the knee injury, Dickerson generally held up well and the Eagles took a 27-15 lead into halftime.
With Jurgens back, the Eagles hope to finish this out and advance to their second Super Bowl in three seasons.
