Landon Jackson announces decision to declare for 2025 NFL Draft
Arkansas edge rusher Landon Jackson officially declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, he announced on Wednesday evening on his social media channels. Jackson posted a lengthy goodbye message on his Twitter page.
“First, I would like to thank God, as without him, none of this would be possible. Second, I would like to thank my family, friends, and of course my wife, for they have all motivated me beyond measure. I would also like to thank my coaches and teammates for molding me into the player and man I am today,” Jackson wrote.
“Lastly, I would like to thank all the Razorback fans for taking me in and treating me like family. Attending Arkansas is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have grown off the field just as much as I have developed on it. I’ve had the opportunity to play for some of the best coaches anybody can ask for,” Jackson continued.
“After talking with my family, I’m excited to announce that I will be fulfilling a lifelong dream and entering the 2025 NFL Draft,” Jackson finished.
On Saturday, Jackson suffered an apparent head/neck injury in the second quarter against Missouri. After remaining on the ground for several minutes, the edge rusher was carted off the field and placed in an ambulance.

He was then transported to a hospital across the street from Memorial Stadium. After the game, Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman provided an update on Jackson’s condition. “Landon Jackson is back in the locker room and doing well,” Pittman said. “He’s been released. So that was great news.”
Before leaving the game, he recorded five tackles. The injury occurred when he tackled Missouri running back Jamal Roberts. Jackson’s head appeared to whip backward during the impact before he crumbled to the ground.
Landon Jackson has a bright future ahead of him. ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. listed Jackson as the No. 4 available defensive end in his latest 2024 NFL draft Big Board rankings.
