NASCAR may be adjusting the way they broadcast their sport in 2025, with a slew of new partners joining the fray, but a stalwart of the business will continue to deliver hard-hitting analysis moving forward in Larry McReynolds.

According to Octagon via X, McReynolds has inked a multi-year contract extension with FOX Sports ahead of his 25th season with the company beginning this weekend. That’s tremendous news for NASCAR fans all over the globe, as McReynolds has become an essential piece of FOX’s team, and he’s going to remain with the brand for years to come.

“[Larry McReynolds] has signed a multi-year contract extension with [FOX Sports],” the sports and entertainment management and marketing company relayed to social media. “McReynolds will start his 25th season for FOX this Sunday in Winston Salem, North Carolina with the NASCAR Cookout Clash beginning at 2 p.m. ET.”

Prior to joining the broadcast side of the sport, McReynolds was a crew chief for some of the top drivers in all of NASCAR, including Dale Earnhardt Sr. The 66-year-old captained two Daytona 500 winners to Victory Lane, including Earnhardt’s legendary 1998 victory.

At the end of the 2000 season, McReynolds took his talents to FOX Sports, where he joined the broadcast booth with Mike Joy and Darrell Waltrip. While he’s no longer in the booth full-time, he joins the broadcast periodically and contributes to a myriad of other NASCAR-related shows, highlighting his intelligence and versatility.

As he begins his 25th season with the company, McReynolds has elevated to become one of the most important pieces of FOX’s broadcast team. Another chapter begins this weekend, as he’ll help with the call of the Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium on Sunday, with the Daytona 500 to follow on Feb. 16.

This year’s Daytona 500 will be No. 67 of one of NASCAR’s crown jewels, which kicks off the new season annually. 43 different drivers have taken the checkered flag in the Daytona 500. William Byron did it last year.

It was a moment Byron will never forget, and there are many drivers who hope to join him as a Daytona 500 champion. Those include Kyle LarsonChase ElliottTyler Reddick and yes, Kyle Busch, who has accomplished everything NASCAR has to offer sans a Daytona 500 victory.

Regardless of who finds Victory Lane, Larry McReynolds will be ready to call all of the action, and contribute when it’s his time to shine. NASCAR is back, and Larry Mac isn’t going anywhere, which is music to the ears of the sport’s biggest fans.
