2022 NFL Draft Class: Las Vegas releases early odds for Offensive Player of the Year
Las Vegas has officially set the first set of odds for 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year. While plenty of the favorites with the lower odds make perfect sense, there appears to be a ton of value for bettors who want to cash in on players with a ton of value but the oddsmakers aren’t high on, and well, a few absolute head scratchers that make no sense at all.
The lone favorite is clearly directly correlated to his position — but it’s difficult to envision anyone, especially at this point, hopping on former Pitt Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett at +500.
Las Vegas clearly believes Pickett will take the starting role even with the acquisition of Mitch Trubisky — and somehow play well enough for a franchise that hasn’t made a quarterback change in nearly two decades — to be the front runner. Unexpected, intriguing, maybe even enticing for some, but very few would have predicted the QB from Pitt to lead the charge of this entire class for the most prestigious rookie honor.
Las Vegas top ten favorites for 2022 offensive ROY
Beyond Pickett, the list begins to make a bit more sense and there could be value for the folks who like to take wild mid-May action before positions are cemented, training camp begins to clarify 53-man rosters throughout the NFL.
Here is how Vegas currently sees the front runners for the top offensive rookie in 2022 behind Pickett.
ATL WR Drake London +700, (USC)
NYJ WR Garrett Wilson +800 (Ohio State)
TENN WR Treylon Burks +800 (Arkansas)
NYJ RB Breece Hall +800 (Iowa State)
GB WR Christian Watson +800 (North Dakota State)
SEA RB Kenneth Walker III +1000 (Michigan State)
NO WR Chris Olave + 1000 (Ohio State)
DET WR Jameson Williams +1200 (Alabama)
KC WR Skyy Moore +1200 (Western Michigan)
It will be interesting to see how many die-hard bettors hop on this wild early action but while it’s literally impossible to predict these kinds of things this early, Las Vegas has proven time and time again they seem to always know things many often overlook, ignore, miss or the oddsmakers are throwing a few curveballs hoping to throw high-risk gamblers off track.
Las Vegas always knows
Anyone who dabbles in sports betting understands these behind-the-scenes numbers guys in Sin City seem to always find a way to win, and often times when something feels too easy or off, it’s a sway to send the public to the obvious, and ultimately the bettors lose far more than Vegas does.
But it’s May. So much can and will happen between kickoff week one and throughout the year. Time and Time again, someone like Justin Herbert busts on the scene, silences all critics and claims the award.

Last year was the Ja’Marr Chase show, but running backs took the prize in both 2018 and 2019.
London is the second favorite, with Wilson right behind him and those two were widely considered the top pass catchers in the class. They seem to make enough sense.
The big-bodied former USC star should absolutely be a day one starter for a young Falcons’ squad in a rebuild so despite questions at quarterback, he will receive enough targets considering the threat of Kyle Pitts and an offense that can flash.
The Jets appear to have young talent across the board, and Wilson’s talent and skillset can’t be overstated. There is obvious talent in New York, and for a franchise that has struggled for so long, everything appears to hinge on the other Wilson —who has yet to prove himself — but is largely responsible for helping the former Buckeye ascend.
With AJ Brown gone, Burks will get opportunities in Tennessee, but the next most probable offensive rookies on this early list out of Las Vegas feels interesting to say the least.
The trio of Hall, Watson and Walker ahead of Olave and Williamson will certainly cause debate and closing out the ten early favorites is Skyy Moore — in an explosive Kansas City offense that lost Tyreek Hill, but it’s tough to justify taking him when Williams, who some pegged as the top talent at the position even with the injury — in a Lions offense where he should plug in as the immediate No. 1 WR if fully healthy.
