Raiders LB Charles Snowden arrested on DUI charge
Charles Snowden was arrested following an incident earlier this week and has been charged with a DUI.
Per 8 News Now, Snowden was charged with the misdemeanor a few days ago after a traffic stop on Tuesday. Reports of his vehicle were made to the authorities in Las Vegas. That later led to his booking in the Clark County Detention Center that morning with him being released later on. There are few other details on the arrest as he did not appear in court, he has not been arraigned, and he did not have to post bond.
However, a charging document was filed on Wednesday that will require Snowden to appear at a hearing in April.
Snowden has made stops with three teams over the past four years with the Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Las Vegas Raiders. Much of that pro career has been spent on the practice squads for each respective franchise.

This season, though, has been a breakout for Snowden in Sin City. He has appeared in 13 games, seven of those being starts, for Las Vegas. During that opportunity, he has posted 30 tackles, three of those being for loss, with six quarterback hits, 1.5 sacks, and three deflections. He’s tenth on the team in tackles, tied for third in hits, and fifth in sacks and tackles for loss.
That comes after a four-year college career for Snowden at Virginia. In 45 games with the Cavaliers, he had 190 tackles, 31 for loss, along with 15 sacks, 16 deflections, three forced fumbles with two recoveries, and a pair of picks. Still, he was undrafted coming out of Charlottesville in 2021.
Snowden will now have to handle this with the franchise moving forward before he does so in court in a few months.
