Las Vegas Raiders receiver Hunter Renfrow lands huge NFL honor
Las Vegas Raiders receiver Hunter Renfrow will join the AFC roster in the 2022 Pro Bowl, the team announced Monday. It is the first Pro Bowl appearance for Renfrow, who will replace injured Chargers receiver Keenan Allen.
Renfrow set career highs across the board in 2021 with 103 catches for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns. All of those numbers were also team highs. He also became just the second receiver in Raiders history to post 100 receptions and 1,000 yards in the same season. The receiver is set to join Las Vegas teammates AJ Cole, Maxx Crosby and Denzel Perryman on the AFC Pro Bowl roster.
Kansas City’s Tyreek Hill, Buffalo’s Stefon Diggs and Pittsburgh’s Diontae Johnson are the other AFC receivers in the Pro Bowl. Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert is set to serve as the starter for the AFC.
The Raiders selected Renfrow in the fifth round of the 2019 NFL draft. The receiver won two national championships in college with the Clemson Tigers in 2016 and 2018. During the first championship, he caught the game-winning touchdown from Deshaun Watson to help Clemson upset Alabama. In four seasons with the Tigers, Renfrow tallied career numbers of 186 catches, 2,133 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Renfrow went on to surpass 600 yards receiving in each of his first two seasons. He also combined for six touchdowns during that span.
Las Vegas finished this past season with a 10-7 record, earning a trip to the playoffs for the first time of Renfrow’s career and just the second time since the 2003 season. They lost in the wild card round to the Cincinnati Bengals, which have since advanced to the Super Bowl.
When Hunter Renfrow plays in the Pro Bowl, he will have plenty of support in the crowd. The game is set to take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas at 3 p.m. ET Sunday.
