Leonard Fournette reveals car caught fire while driving
NFL free agent running back Leonard Fournette revealed his car caught fire while driving, but he came away unscathed.
Fournette posted a video to his Instagram detailing the mess of his vehicle. It is unclear how it caught fire, but the entire car was burnt to a crisp off the side of the highway.
The former LSU star was unharmed and wrote a caption on his Instagram post, detailing some of what happened.
“Man it was one of those days today but I thank God,” Fournette wrote. “My car caught on fire while I was driving……. But still blessed (praying emoji, heart emoji).”
As you can see, there is no way that car will be salvaged. At least Fournette was okay and no one was harmed during the incident.
A scary sight, especially if it happened in the middle of the running back operating the vehicle.
Fournette just wrapped up his third season with the Buccaneers and emerged as a key part of the passing game. He had a career-high 523 receiving yards and three touchdowns in the air to go with 668 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground.

He appeared in 14 games, including nine starts, one year after starting 13 of 14 games.
Fournette started his career with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who drafted him with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft out of LSU. On the whole, he has 4,478 rushing yards, 2,219 receiving yards and 41 total touchdowns across his six years in the league.
Leonard Fournette recalls Super Bowl LV parade
During an appearance on Good Morning Football, Fournette recalled that day in the summer of 2020. And he of course remembered it fondly with Tom Brady.
“It was exciting, it was fun. It was crazy to see him enjoy — I’m quite sure he probably enjoyed it with the Patriots,” Fournette said, ‘but he didn’t enjoy it like he did with us. The boats, it was summer, it was hot. And he was lit! We was lit.”
That day, of course, Brady became visibly intoxicated and required some assistance to get from sea to shore, and then to a car to whisk him home. He jokingly tweeted about it, blaming the avocado tequila he had been drinking on the boat to celebrate.
Not a bad memory to share, given that a Lombardi Trophy was involved.
