LeSean McCoy claims Trevon Diggs' trash talk proves teammates 'don't respect' Dak Prescott
Former Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has made his opinions of Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott very clear for a while now. The Fox Sports commentator has said he doesn’t respect the former fourth-rounder’s talents and this week, he took it a step forward.
After cornerback Trevon Diggs was caught trash-talking Prescott during a training camp practice, McCoy went so far as to say that his teammates don’t respect him and are even “tired” of him.
“I think it’s something there,” McCoy said on Speak. “I mean, I don’t know. I’ve played some football. So I’ll just say this. Let me set the stage. I played with Michael Vick, right? I played with Tom Brady, played with Josh Allen, played with Patrick Mahomes, nobody on the team would even fix they lips to say something like that to the quarterback. A franchise quarterback?”
“Two things it tells me,” McCoy continued. ‘One is they don’t respect him. And two is they tired of everybody making him the face, the guy and we get in a tight game, he’s the one that blows the game for us… I’m tired bro. You keep doing the same thing.”
Last season, leading up to a game between Philadelphia and Dallas, McCoy called Prescott “ass” and “trash.” The comments came as the QB was racking up a career-high number of interceptions for the season.
The clip of Diggs telling his captain to “shut his b****h a** up” went viral on Monday. Prescott tossed a football back at the corner’s head in response. Despite Shady’s claims, no one in Oxnard seems concerned.
Prescott responds to ‘disrespect’ narrative
Dak Prescott commented on the trash-talking in an interview with Fox 4.
“Yeah, very healthy banter between two teammates,” Prescott said. “I’m just glad the things that I always say maybe weren’t on social media for the people that don’t understand that to take it the wrong way.”

“(Trevon Diggs) is a guy that I spend a lot of time with, we’re always going back and forth,” the quarterback added. “When you compete at a high level you almost have to expect that.”
Even Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy touched on the topic during a radio interview on Thursday, disputing McCoy’s claim about how defenders talk to franchise quarterbacks.
“Yeah, I could go back to… Brett (Favre) and Aaron (Rodgers), they could get into it with the best of them,” McCarthy said. “That’s all normal.
“Our defense is feeling it. They’re excited about where we are. They’re playing with great confidence, which we want. It’s good all the way around. It’s good for competition… If you don’t like the choice of words, don’t listen to it. It’s part of the football environment.”
