The New York Giants are signing receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey to a one-year deal, ESPN‘s Adam Schefter reported Friday. Humphrey, 26, will be entering his seventh season in the NFL.

The former Texas standout spent the last two seasons with the Denver Broncos, where he suited up in every game. Humphrey posted career highs across the board in 2024, hauling in 31 receptions for 293 yards. Beyond his skillset as a wideout, Humphrey played a big role in Denver’s run and screen game.

Prior to his stint in Denver, Humphrey played three seasons with the New Orleans Saints (2019-21) and one with the New England Patriots (2022). Humphrey has tallied 62 receptions for 770 yards (12.4 yards per catch) and seven touchdowns during the entirety of his career.

In New York, Humphrey will once again provide depth in a receiving core spearheaded by Malik Nabers, Wan’Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton. Just who will be throwing the ball is the big question that’s currently without an answer.

Giants sign Lil’Jordan Humphrey, 2025 QB plans TBD

Tommy DeVito is the only quarterback signed to the roster for 2025. It’s highly unlikely, however, that DeVito is under center in Week 1. The Giants own the No. 3 overall pick in next month’s NFL Draft and could use the pick to select a signal-caller — perhaps Colorado‘s Shedeur Sanders. New York also has an offer on the table for four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers and met with Russell Wilson last Friday.

ESPN‘s Jeremy Fowler said earlier this week the expectation is that the Pittsburgh Steelers will land Rodgers. Pittsburgh — like New York — has a standing offer out there for Rodgers.

“I’m told from a source that Aaron Rodgers has standing offers from the Pittsburgh Steelers [and] New York Giants,” Fowler said. “Those appear to be the two key players here. … Rodgers, as far as I know, is still mulling these offers. He’s not made any sort of firm determination yet.

“I don’t get the sense that this is all about money here. It’s about surroundings. The ability to win. Most people around the league do expect the Steelers to prevail here, as they do have the better on-field option.”
