NASCAR has updated the playoff standings following the first stage of the FireKeepers Casino 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Bubba Wallace has moved up in the standings from 15th to 14th, and Ross Chastain is now in the playoffs as he moved to 15th (previously 17th). Below are the full standings.

Since the FireKeepers Casino 400 was postponed until Monday, there will be more changes to the standings. However, the drivers who are in the top 12 are locked into the postseason since they have won at least one Cup Series race. Here’s a look at the current playoff standings.

Wallace finished in the top 10 in Stage 1, which is why he’s moved up in the standings. But the 30-year-old has been on a roll lately, finishing in the top 10 in four of the last five races. That doesn’t mean Wallace can relax in the final three races before the playoffs.

Bubba Wallace talks about his chance to make the NASCAR playoffs

“Definitely don’t feel safe until you’re locked in,” Wallace said, per NASCAR.com. “We have four very good opportunities to do that. Ran really well here in the spring. … four real good opportunities to make some headway but you know, also four good opportunities to take us out of contention so have to show up and it’s time to put it back into gear.”

Chastain also discussed his playoff chances after making it the last two seasons. “Approach for me is a constant evolution,” Chastain explained. “Really no two weeks are ever the same. If I find something that’s going to help me better physically, then I do it. My weeks and my preparation are really never the same.”
