Gymnast Livvy Dunne is back for another season at LSU, hoping to win another national championship. After the program endured four previous runner-ups, they finally broke through. Now, the goal is to add a second title and Dunne should play a role for the Tigers.

The season is set to officially begin after the New Year but media day has taken place in Baton Rouge. Dunne got one of her headshots back and posted it on Instagram with a comparison one on the next slide. The second photo was from her freshman year in Baton Rouge, flashing back four seasons to 2021.

Dunne captioned the post “In a blink of an eye #supersenior #old” to signify her thoughts. You can check out the full post from her below.

Going back to the 2021 season, Dunne made an immediate impact by becoming an All-American on the uneven bars and scored well for LSU throughout the NCAA Tournament. They wound up making the NCAA Championship in Fort Worth but did not medal, as Michigan took home the crown.

Last season saw Dunne compete in nine meets, performing in the bars and floor events. A career-high 9.900 was scored during the NCAA Fayetteville Regional Second Round. As mentioned, LSU went on to win a national championship and Dunne was recognized by the team with the Coaches Award by the team this year for being prepped to go in for her team at any moment, according to her official bio.

Dunne announced her decision to come back for another season in early September, taking advantage of the COVID-19 eligibility rules. She could have moved on and would have had plenty of opportunities at her disposal. But Dunne’s desire to win another title is why she ultimately chose to return.

“I really wanted to come back — well, first of all, we won last year, our team made LSU history, first national championship. It was so exciting for, not only our team, but the whole university and that’s a feeling that I want to feel again,” Dunne said in an interview with the New York Post. “It was so special and the bond with the girls, and I really found my love for the sport again, last year, I would say. So that’s one of the main reasons why I wanted to come back.”
