Livvy Dunne graduates from LSU, stuns in new photos
The Pete Maravich Assembly Center is a familiar spot for LSU‘s Livvy Dunne. She has participated in countless gymnastic meets there, usually performing quite well. A new season is on the horizon as well, with LSU beginning its slate just after the New Year.
But on Thursday, Dunne earned a new honor inside the PMAC. Dunne has officially graduated from LSU, earning a degree in interdisciplinary studies. After arriving in Baton Rouge in 2020, years of hard work have paid off for her along with some fellow classmates.
Some photos of the moment were posted by Dunne on Instagram. The moment she was handed her degree plus a few shots outside of Tiger Stadium were captured as well. You can check out all seven photos Dunne posted below.
LSU fans will be thankful that Dunne’s time with the Tigers is not over. She is not leaving as there is one more gymnastics season for her to go through. After winning a national championship last year, Dunne says a big part of her return is to help the program go back-to-back.

“I really wanted to come back — well, first of all, we won last year, our team made LSU history, first national championship. It was so exciting for, not only our team, but the whole university and that’s a feeling that I want to feel again,” Dunne said in an interview with the New York Post. “It was so special and the bond with the girls, and I really found my love for the sport again, last year, I would say. So that’s one of the main reasons why I wanted to come back.”
Friday, Jan. 3 is LSU’s first meet of the season with Iowa State coming to the PMAC.
Last season saw Dunne compete in nine meets, performing in the bars and floor events. A career-high 9.900 was scored during the NCAA Fayetteville Regional Second Round. As mentioned, LSU went on to win a national championship and Dunne was recognized by the team with the Coaches Award by the team this year for being prepped to go in for her team at any moment, according to her official bio.
