LOOK: WWE superstar Cody Rhodes posts hilarious reaction to Joe Burrow haircut
If Cincinnati Bengals fans don’t believe that star quarterback Joe Burrow is serious about finishing what he started two years ago, they might want to reconsider that thought.
As per the norm in the NFL, heading into training camp, players typically come up with unique and creative ways to make their first appearance. Burrow did just that when he showed up with a new haircut and a striking resemblance to Undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes. Rhodes himself caught wind of Burrow’s new haircut and took to social media to shout him out.
You can check out below the Bengals star quarterback channeling his inner ‘American Nightmare’ and Rhodes using a picture that photoshopped his signature tattoo and title to go along with it.
For those unfamiliar with the ongoings and WWE, Rhodes recently ‘finished his story’ by defeating former WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. The final chapter in the story closes off where it started after Reigns defeated Rhodes to retain the title one year ago at WrestleMania 38. Similar to the ‘American Nightmare,’ Burrow is looking to bounce back from losing to the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LVI.

Burrow’s admiration for Rhodes isn’t just a one-way street. On the same day, the WWE superstar dropped the social media post of the NFL superstar quarterback; on Tuesday, July 23, he changed his X tagline to ‘quarterback.’
Burrow revaled his main focus during the offseason
The 2023 season was challenging for Burrow. He only played in 10 games because he suffered an injury in November and was ruled out for the remainder of the season. Earlier this month, the LSU Tigers alum spoke to Complex Sports about what he wants to improve on for the upcoming season.
“Number one, I want to be on the field for all the games,” Burrow said. “I know I’m going to play well when I’m out there. I’m at that point in my career where I’ve seen enough ball and I know myself that I can go out there and play as well as anybody in the game. The biggest strides this year are going to be my body and learning how to get through the season, get through practices with my body, feeling tip-top shape. And so that’s the main focus for the off-season.”
