LSU running back Noah Cain declares for 2024 NFL Draft
LSU running back Noah Cain has made his decision regarding his football future, announcing Monday that he will be declaring for the 2024 NFL Draft.
Cain exits stage left from The Bayou after spending the last two seasons with the Tigers, transferring in ahead of the 2022 season after starting off his career at Penn State.
Cain took to Twitter to reveal his decision, thanking former coaches like James Franklin and Brian Kelly amongst many others for the part they played in his journey in a heartfelt message that can be seen below.
Cain was a four-star prospect out of IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, ranked the No. 108 overall recruit and the No. 7 running back in the nation for the 2019 class according to On3’s Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Penn State was Cain’s school of choice out of high school where he made an immediate impact, rushing for 443 yards and eight touchdowns as a true freshman for the Nittany Lions. An injury on the first drive of the first game put an end to his sophomore season in 2020, but he’d bounce back in 2021 with 350 yards and four touchdowns on 106 carries before he’d transfer to LSU.
For the Tigers Cain made 27 game appearances with three starts, recording 590 yards on the ground and 14 total touchdowns, and now he’ll look to take his game to the next level.

Players will have the opportunity to solidify their draft stock at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from February 26 through March 4.
The three-day event will be broadcasted throughout the weekend on ESPN and NFL Network.
To be eligible for the NFL Draft, players must be at least three years removed from their final year of high school while having used up their collegiate eligibility. Underclassmen are able to request league approval to become eligible for the draft, as are players who have graduated prior to using up all of their collegiate eligibility.
Last season, 69 players were granted special eligibility for the 2023 NFL Draft. 13 underclassmen who had completed their college degrees were also deemed eligible to be selected.
The deadline to declare for the 2024 NFL Draft is on January 15. NFL teams will receive a full list of eligible players in the class on January 19.
