Malik Nabers injury update: Giants WR taken to locker room in fourth quarter vs. Cowboys
Giants star wide receiver Malik Nabers has been impressing early in his rookie season with the franchise. He’s been the dominant player they believed he could be. Unfortunately for New York, he went to the locker room late in the fourth quarter on Thursday Night Football, after he crashed down out of bounds landing on his helmet face first.
Nabers was slow to get up after the play. Spent some time in the medical tent being evaluated by trainers and medical staff, before eventually heading to the locker room. Shortly after, the Amazon Prime broadcast updated his status, with Al Michaels saying Nabers had a concussion.
The Cowboys won the Thursday Night Football game, 20-15, over the Giants. Dallas sealed the win after Amani Oruwariye had an interception in the closing seconds.
That wasn’t without an excellent performance by Nabers. He hauled in 12 catches for 115 yards before leaving the game with a concussion.

Through the first four games of his NFL career, Nabers has 35 catches for 386 receiving yards and three touchdowns. He drew praise on Thursday night from former LSU star, Odell Beckham Jr.
Nabers played a critical role in guiding the Giants to a 21-15 win over the Cleveland Browns on Sept. 22. He hauled in eight catches for 78 yards and two touchdowns, on 12 targets. The former LSU star also shined against the Washington Commanders on Sept. 15th. Even though the Giants lost 21-18, Nabers hauled in 10 catches for 127 yards and a touchdown on 18 total targets.
He was expected to get force fed targets this season by head coach Brian Daboll, and the Giants head coach has not disappointed. Nabers has tallied double digit targets in three of his four games so far in his rookie campaign. He’ll likely have to sit out a week due to his concussion but look for him to get back on track and in a hurry. Because he is a ridiculously massive piece of the New York offensive attack. And it makes perfect sense when you look at his freakish testing numbers and his college production coming into the league.
