Mark Martin 'would love to see' Gucci Mane come to a NASCAR race

In case you weren’t aware, NASCAR Hall of Famer Mark Martin is a big fan of Grammy Award-nominated rapper Gucci Mane.
The 66-year-old has an ear for the hip-hop genre, and there’s no one better out there in Martin’s mind than Gucci Mane. Martin has been open about that for quite some time and now, he wants to show the 44-year-old what it’s like at the racetrack. Martin, speaking with Chase Holden on YouTube, said he would love to see Gucci Mane at a NASCAR race and offered to be his guide for the day.
“I would love to see him come to a NASCAR race,” Martin said. “If he did, I would love to be sort of his guide bringing him around or something. He’s a fascinating person to me. He has — even if you can’t appreciate it, like Eminem. I didn’t particularly love all of his lyrics, but the guy is a lyrical genius and an incredible wordsmith. I always appreciated that and it’s the same thing with Gucci. Here’s a guy who has amazing vocabulary.
“And sometimes when I listen to him, I wonder how does he know about stuff like that? Because he doesn’t have much for an education. But the guy is really talented, brilliant, he came from nothing, dirt nothing, rough life, rough coming up and he was a bad, scary dude. He lives a lot different life now, but I like that scary dude. I liked that fat Gucci that was rapping and sounded like he had a clothespin on his nose. I love the Gucci that was on the streets just freestyling with a bandana laying over his head.”

Mark Martin makes cameo on new Gucci Mane album
At this point, Gucci Mane has to be well aware of Martin’s fondness for him. He even included Martin in his most recent album “Greatest Of All Trappers (Gangsta Grillz Edition).” On the song GOAT, which opens up the 12-track album, a snippet from a previous interview in which Martin raves about Gucci Mane can be heard.
Over the course of his NASCAR career, Martin accumulated 40 victories. Being included on Gucci Mane’s album must feel like No. 41 for the former wheelman. Perhaps it’s even better, as he likened it to the championship that eluded him throughout his Cup Series career.
“I may not have ever won a Cup Championship BUT I made on GOAT @gucci1017 song,” Martin wrote on X this past September.
