Hollywood Brown reportedly receiving trade interest ahead of deadline
Marquise “Hollywood” Brown is one of the more exciting players on the Arizona Cardinals, and other NFL squads are taking notice ahead of the trade deadline.
Evidently, Brown has been the topic of a myriad of calls placed to the Cardinals, as Arizona sits at 1-6 ahead of next week’s trade deadline. However, Dianna Russini of The Athletic is reporting that as far as the Cardinals interest in dealing their star wide receiver? Well, there isn’t much of any.
“The Arizona Cardinals have received calls on wide receiver Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown, but the team isn’t looking to move him,” Russini reported. “Brown is both healthy and productive right now and looks to be part of this team’s future.
“Remember, the Cardinals have six picks in the first three rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft. They have plenty of draft capital.”
Even though it seems like a lost season for the Cardinals, it makes sense why they’d want to hold on to Brown. He has a special rapport with Kyler Murray, and the star quarterback looks to be returning soon, after being spotted at practice earlier last week.
Whether Murray factors into the team’s future plans remains to be seen, as Arizona could very well end up with the first overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. If they’re picking anywhere near the top, USC quarterback Caleb Williams or North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye will certainly be projected to end up with the franchise.

Brown would be a nice piece for any quarterback to have, and could even benefit if the Cardinals land Ohio State stud wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. with their pick. An offense with Murray, Brown and Harrison Jr. would certainly be among the most electric in the league.
After spending the first three seasons of this career with the Baltimore Ravens, the Cardinals traded a first round selection for Brown’s services. He amassed 709 receiving yards and three touchdowns during his first go-round with the Cardinals, and has caught 32 passes for 383 yards and three touchdowns in 2023.
Nobody is expecting the Cardinals to go on an unexpected run in 2023, but they’re at least playing their competition tough this season. They’ve lost six games, but could easily have a 3-4 record at the least right now, if a few plays broke their way.
Nevertheless, they’re rebuilding at the end of the day, and it looks like Arizona wants Hollywood Brown to remain with the Cardinals until the franchise gets to the other side.
