MarShawn Lloyd, Romeo Doubs updates featured on Packers Tuesday injury report
The Green Bay Packers released their first injury report of the 2024 season and five players are dealing with injuries heading into the game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Running back MarShawn Lloyd did not practice on Tuesday as he has a hamstring injury and wide receiver Romeo Doubs was limited in practice because of a hand injury. The other players on the injury report are linebacker Edgerrin Cooper (limited, hip), cornerback Carrington Valentine (limited, hamstring), and running back Emanuel Wilson (limited, hip).
Packers fans are hoping Doubs will play since he’s a top wide receiver along with Christian Watson. “It was a contusion on my hand and taking some time to heal and it is a day-to-day process. …I was able to function (in practice) the way I’m supposed to,” Doubs said about his injury, per Rob Demovsky of ESPN.
Doubs is looking to build on a strong 2023 season, catching 59 passes for 674 yards and eight touchdowns. He also looked strong in the playoffs, recording 10 receptions for 234 yards and one touchdown in two games.
Lloyd is another key player for the Packers as he’s the top backup for Josh Jacobs. Despite not practicing on Tuesday, Lloyd will likely play as the Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said they planned to sit him out after “two good days” of practice.

More on Packers injuries before season opener
Lloyd was selected by the Packers in the third round of this year’s draft. He played college football at USC last year, rushing for 820 yards and nine touchdowns on 116 carries.
“I would like to get (Lloyd) out there as much as possible,” Packers offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich said in May, per NFL.com. “He’s got a skill set that’s a little bit different than AJ’s as far as his speed. He’s not quite the bruiser that (Dillon) is obviously, but he’s got a different type of skill set. So it’ll be nice to get him the ball in space and just see what he can do because I think he’s gonna add a good explosive element to the offense as well.”
The Packers are looking to take a big step forward after reaching the divisional round of the playoffs last year. They will be led by quarterback Jordan Love who signed a four-year, $220 million extension with the Packers in July.
