The 2024 NFL Draft is only a few months away and teams across the league are looking for elite college prospects to upgrade their rosters. The Tennessee Titans need an offensive lineman to help block for their quarterback, former Kentucky QB Will Levis. On Wednesday night’s SportsCenter special on the 2024 NFL Draft, ESPN’s Mel Kiper had former Notre Dame offensive tackle Joe Alt heading to the Tennessee Titans at the no. 7 slot in the first round.

He still thinks the Titans will have a difficult decision ahead of them at the no. 7 spot, because there are some really talented receivers at the top of this draft. They’re also in need of an elite wideout and Kiper thinks the Titans will have a couple of really nice options.

“Yeah, I think when you look at Brian Callahan. We talked about I believe in Daniel Jones of the Giants. I believe in Will Levis with the Tennessee Titans. I think he showed why. How he performed this year, no matter how many times he was hit. He was hit a lot. The offensive line was awful. Okay. Awful. Now they need a receiver as well. So, [Malik] Nabers or [Rome] Odunze, one of those two will be there. It’s gonna be a tough decision,” Kiper began.

Then Kiper broke down Alt’s skill set.

“But Joe Alt as a guy I watched every week at Notre Dame. He gets better and better. He’s got bloodlines with his dad in the NFL. This is a guy who we talk about, will help out, Will Levis. Will Levis got hurt late, because he got hit so often. Right?! And he’s a tough kid. He can do things with his arm and his legs and he’s the future of this franchise. So, you can take a receiver. You can take a lineman,” Kiper said on Wednesday’s show.

“Remember Penei Sewell and Ja’Marr Chase? The Titans haven’t gotten that right. They passed on a lineman. Do they pass on a lineman here and take Nabers or Odunze? That’s gonna be fascinating when the Tennessee Titans are up with pick No. 7.”

Joe Alt was without a doubt one of the nation’s very best offensive linemen. He was named a unanimous All-American in 2023. He was a critical piece to a Notre Dame offensive line that was a semifinalist for the Joe Moore Award–given to the nation’s top offensive line.
