The Miami-Dade Police Department announces the body cam footage of the incident leading to Tyreek Hill‘s detainment. The incident happened before the Miami Dolphins season-opening game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, and there is over 105 minutes of footage.

“In our commitment to transparency and maintaining public trust, we are releasing the body-worn camera (BWC) footage related to the recent incident involving Tyreek Hill. While standard protocol is to release body cam footage after the internal review has concluded, the available body cam footage – a combined 105 minutes 33 seconds – is being released the day following the incident to reinforce the Department’s commitment to keeping the public informed,” Miami-Dae Police Department Director Stephanie V. Daniels said in a statement.

“The department is committed to conducting a thorough, objective investigation into this matter, and we will continue to update the public on the outcome of that process.”

Andy Slater of Fox Sports 640 shared a little over three minutes of the body cam footage that shows Hill being detained by police. When officers stopped Hill, they asked him why he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt. Hill then pulled his window up, leading to him being pulled out of the car and detained by the officers. Hill, who was named the best player in the league by NFL players, was on the phone with his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, telling him that he was getting arrested.

“It’s a heartbreaking situation,” Rosenhaus told ESPN’s Jeff Darlington, per Sports Illustrated. “Obviously, I love Tyreek. I hated to see him in the situation he was in with the police. He is going to play today. Number one, he’s okay. Number two, he’s going to play. Number three, apparently he got a ticket for a moving violation entering the stadium. How things escalated into the situation that they were in, in handcuffs and being held on the ground by police is mind-boggling to me. I’m deeply concerned by that. Very troubled. We will be looking into it. We will be investigating this. We will look out for Tyreek, but I’m not going to make any allegations at this time.

“The most important thing is Tyreek is okay physically,” Rosenhaus continued. “Mentally, he was very distraught about what happened. Tyreek has told me over and over he is a big supporter of police. He was telling the police there I want to be a police officer in the future, but this is crazy. I’ve never seen anything like this.”
