Former Kentucky Wildcats star Lynn Bowden Jr injures hamstring
It’s been a tough start to his NFL career for former Kentucky Wildcats star Lynn Bowden Jr. The Miami Dolphins receiver missed all of last season with a hamstring injury move. And according to recent news coming out of Miami, Bowden is on the mend again with another hamstring injury.
According to first-year Miami coach Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins planned on using Bowden all over the field on offense. The reason being is the former Wildcats’ unique skill set and ability to run and catch the ball.
“He does have an interesting skill set,” McDaniel said about Bowden on Tuesday. “I’ve always been drawn to players that have multiple positions — specifically quarterback experience — because of the way they see the game. Lynn’s been battling some hamstring stuff. He’s been diligent in the meeting room.
Bowden was initially drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the third round of the 2020 NFL draft. Although he plays wide receiver in the NFL, coming out of college, Bowden was listed as a running back.
Just before the start of his rookie season, the Raiders traded him along with a 2021 six-round pick to the Dolphins for Raekwon McMillan. In his rookie campaign, he played in 10 games, starting four, and recorded 28 catches for 211 yards and nine carries for 32 yards.

Vegas sets Kentucky win total odds at 8.5 for 2022 season
Kentucky was able to survive the coaching carousel and keep head coach Mark Stoops in Lexington. Now, the hope is that the momentum can continue to roll on and possibly compete inside the tough SEC East.
VegasInsider has dropped win total odds for every team in college football for the 2022 season and Kentucky comes in at 8.5. Plenty of other programs across the country have been given the same odds such as Miami, Oregon, Penn State, and Texas A&M. Big expectations are in store for the Wildcats.
Kentucky was able to secure nine regular-season wins last year and added another due to a Citrus Bowl win over Iowa. Stoops has now brought two double-digit wins to the program twice after only having two previously. Similar results are expected, even with a tough schedule on the horizon.
SEC play will begin early for the Wildcats, with a road trip to Gainesville against the Florida Gators scheduled for Week 2. Other tough games away from home will be Ole Miss and Tennessee, with the latter being a place Kentucky has only won twice since 1984. Those two could be crucial games as to whether or not Stoops is able to match up last season’s total and possibly push over the 8.5.
