Miami Heat superstar Jimmy Butler is back on his troll game at NBA Media Day, and it’s as hilarious as ever.

Over recent seasons, Butler has made it a habit to mess with the media via his hairstyle at NBA Media Day. While Butler usually has a nice, shape-up hairstyle that many recognize him for, he likes to switch it up for at least one day of the year.

Last season, Butler rocked long dreads to NBA Media Day, and he came correct again in 2023. Check out the video below, where you can see his hilarious new style.

It looks like Butler is headed to speak with the store manager, or looking to buy tickets to a My Chemical Romance show. He understood the assignment once again at NBA Media Day.

The reason Butler shows up with outlandish, irregular styles is to mess with the graphics throughout the season that ESPN and other broadcast companies will utilize. The photos for those graphics come from NBA Media Day, so they’re forced to use one of Butler’s new style.

ESPN has attempted to get around it in the past, like last season when they did away with Butler’s long-haired look at times. Still, the effort from Butler is appreciated, and it’s nice to see he’s not taking himself too seriously throughout the offseason.

The Heat are primed for another run at an NBA title this season, after making it to the NBA finals before falling to the Denver Nuggets in the end. Nevertheless, the run was phenomenal, and something Butler and his teammates can build on moving forward.

Many believed superstar point guard Damian Lillard was headed to Miami this offseason, but the Heat couldn’t close a deal for the star, and Lillard was later traded to the Milwaukee Bucks just last week.

Already possessing superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Bucks catapulted to the favorite in the East once again this season, and the Heat will have to go through Milwaukee once again. It remains to be seen if Miami will make any moves to try to counteract Lillard’s arrival.

With Jimmy Butler leading the charge, you can never count out the Miami Heat. Even if his hairstyle won’t be the same as it is at NBA Media Day, we’ll still be keeping our eyes on Butler’s play throughout next season, and whether or not he can finally get the Heat over the hump and win an NBA title in his time with Miami.
