Miami PD: Tyreek Hill allegedly offered to pay off slapping victim with $200
Tyreek Hill not only allegedly slapped a man on Father’s Day, he also offered to pay him $200 as part of his apology.
The South Florida Sun Sentinel obtained a supplemental police report with more details about the Tyreek Hill allegations. The Miami-Dade State Attorney’s office is reviewing the case to see whether charges should be filed against the Dolphins star wideout.
About an hour before sunset on Father’s Day, an employee of a local fishing company said he saw two men fishing for tarpon off a dock. One of those men was Hill. Two women joined Hill and the other man and boarded a docked, private boat. That’s apparently when the problems started.
According to a redacted Miami-Dade police report, the boat’s captain and Tyreek Hill got into an argument after the captain discovered them on the boat. “I can buy you and the boat,” Hill allegedly told the captain.
The captain told police that Hill cursed at him and “became enraged and attempted to enter the boat to cause him bodily harm but was held back by unknown associates.” The captain said Hill told him he was “No. 10 from the Miami Dolphins.” So he figured out Hill’s identity.

Employee told cops Tyreek Hill slapped him on back of neck
Tyreek Hill said he was being “disrespected.” Meanwhile, a fishing company employee left the office to see what was happening on the boat. As he walked past Hill, he said the receiver slapped him on the back of the neck. Hill’s friends tried to restrain the receiver as the employee went back to the office and locked the door. Now the supplemental police report alleges that Hill offered the employee $200 as part of an apology. The employee didn’t take the money. Hill and the group left the marina.
Tyreek Hill is a big fisherman. He and several other NFL stars competed in a saltwater fishing tournament called “The Catch” back in April. And several days after Father’s Day, Hill shared video of a himself on a boat as he reeled in what turned out to be a shark.
Meanwhile, officers with the Miami-Dade police department have reviewed surveillance footage at the boat dock. The Sun Sentinel said the video backs up the account offered by the boat captain and employee. The employee identified Hill out of a photo lineup. And on June 22, the police department referred the case to the State Attorney’s office.
