One Miami television reporter might actually have the skills to hit the ice during the Stanley Cup Final, if necessary. Samantha Rivera, who works for CBS Miami, fended off an obnoxious fan with an impressive stiff-arm during a broadcast.

Monday night, the Vegas Golden Knights posted an impressive 7-2 victory over the Florida Panthers, taking a 2-0 series lead. After the game, Rivera went live to provide a report on the outcome.

One overly obnoxious fan in the crowd attempted to interrupt the broadcast while celebrating Vegas’ big victory. Rivera put a stop to that pretty damn quick.

It’s not too surprising that her moment went viral on social media.

“Nope, nope, nope … not the kind of fan you want to be,” she said, while shoving him out of the picture. It was an impressive job to keep her composure and keep this idiot off camera.

Rivera then followed up by posting a comment on Twitter later.

“Listen, I don’t give a damn what team you’re rooting for – get the hell out of my face when I’m working and respect that I’m here to do my job,” she wrote. “Excited to get back home to some classy #Panthers fans for game 3!!”

There’s your warning, hockey fans. Don’t just randomly jump into a sports broadcast, especially if Rivera is the one holding the microphone.

Vegas owns 2-0 series lead in Stanley Cup Finals

Part of the reason Vegas fans were so rowdy on Monday is because of their team’s early success in the Stanley Cup Final. The Golden Knights own a 2-0 series lead with dominant performances in the first two games.

Vegas secured a Game 1 victory by defeating Florida 5-2. Then, the Golden Knights embarrassed the Panthers in a 7-2 blowout win on Monday night. In two games, Vegas has outscored Florida 12-4.

Perhaps the Panthers should seriously think about getting Rivera on the ice. The team could use that kind of determination, based on the performance through the first two contests.

On Thursday, the series shifts to Miami for Florida’s first home game of the Stanley Cup Final. Will the Panthers find a little more success in front of a home crowd?

Florida hosts the next two games (Thursday and Saturday) before the series heads back to Vegas for Game 5 (if necessary) next Tuesday.
