Micah Parsons is ready for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to make a big move and trade for Myles Garrett. While appearing on the Up & Adams show, host Kay Adams asked Parsons what’s the one move he wants Jones to make this offseason.

“Yo, go get us Myles Garrett,” Parsons said. “What are we talking about here? Yeah, let’s go get Myles Garrett. …I’m a defensive person. I don’t really believe in the offense because I’ve seen the best offenses shut down in the biggest moments.

“…If you’re talking about consistently teams that step up, always defense shows up. …You control the narrative of the game by just doing your job.”

Myles Garrett requested a trade from the Cleveland Browns this offseason after spending his first eight seasons with the franchise. In his career, Garrett has been selected to the Pro Bowl six times, named to the All-Pro Team six times and won the Defensive Player of the Year Award last year. In 2024, the standout defensive end notched 47 tackles, 22 tackles for loss and 14 sacks.

“As a kid dreaming of the NFL, all I focused on was the ultimate goal of winning a Super Bowl – and that goal fuels me today more than ever,” Garrett said in a statement. “My love for the community of Northeast Ohio and the incredible fanbase of the Cleveland Browns has made this one of the toughest decisions of my life. These past eight years have shaped me into the man that I am today.

“While I’ve loved calling this city my home, my desire to win and compete on the biggest stages won’t allow me to be complacent. The goal was never to go from Cleveland to Canton, it has always been to compete for and win a Super Bowl. With that in mind, I have requested to be traded from the Cleveland Browns.”

Micah Parsons also talked about the Cowboys possibly trading for Garrett to CBS Sports HQ’s Bryant McFadden.  “Bro, honestly like I’d like to see him in Dallas. I don’t know if we have the money for him,” Parsons said.

When it comes to money, Parsons said he would take a pay cut. However, the standout Cowboys pass rusher said he still needs to make a little more money than Garrett.

“Oh, 100%. Yeah, 100%” Parsons stated. “Will he take less too?… We would definitely have to make that happen. … As long as he [Jerry Jones] let me be a little higher [paid] than him [Garrett]. … I’m younger. … He [Garrett] want to be with us too. … I do alright [off the field as a Cowboy]. I do [want to win].”
