Micah Parsons, DaRon Bland injury update: Jerry Jones shares latest on Cowboys defenders
Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones shared the latest injury updates on Micah Parsons and DaRon Bland ahead of their game against the San Francisco 49ers. On 105.3 The Fan (per Jon Machota of The Athletic), Jones said Parsons (ankle) and Bland (foot) will be game-time decisions for the Sunday Night Football Game.
“You can’t tell today,” Jerry Jones said. Parsons has missed the last two games due to a high left ankle sprain. He spent the bye week getting treatment on the ankle, but when speaking to reporters on Monday, Parsons said he’s not sure if he will return in Week 8.
“I don’t think there’s anything I can’t do physically,” Parsons said Monday, per Todd Archer of ESPN. “It’s just more they want to make sure I’m at my best. They kind of know what my best looks like, so it’s just one thing I’ve got to keep working and showing it. They’re monitoring the situation.”
Parsons also talked about missing the first games of his NFL career due to an injury. “It’s humbling. It’s kind of one of them things where you wish you were out there with your brothers whether it’s good or bad, especially during the hard times because that kind of builds the relationship, that builds the brotherhood,” the Cowboys linebackers said. “It’s kind of hard to put your judgment there because you’re not [there] physically. You can’t tell what’s going on.”
