Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence injury update: Jerry Jones addresses injuries to Dallas Cowboys’ defenders
The Dallas Cowboys (2-2) made it out of MetLife Stadium Thursday with a 20-15 victory over the New York Giants (1-3), though they didn’t come out unscathed. Star linebacker Micah Parsons (ankle) and defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence (foot) both suffered injuries which prevented them from finishing the game.
Team owner Jerry Jones said on 105.3 The Fan Friday that both Parsons and Lawrence “feel good.”
“I’m pleased that they feel good,” Jones said, via Jon Machota of The Athletic. “Both feel good about it. That’s usually a good sign.”
Parsons initially underwent X-rays on his left ankle which were negative. He sustained the injury in the fourth quarter after Giants offensive lineman Greg Van Roten fell on his leg while he was rushing the passer. Parsons had to be carted off the field and was seen walking gingerly when the team arrived back in Dallas Friday morning. He will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury.

Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence banged up after Week 4 win over Giants
Lawrence limped off the field during the third quarter. He then made his way to the locker room to get an X-ray, which came back negative. Lawrence didn’t appear to be too overly concerned about the injury.
“I’ll be back in no time,” Lawrence said after the game.
He added: “Sh*t hurts, but it’ll be all right.”
Parsons was relatively held in check by New York’s offensive line, tallying just two tackles and zero quarterback hits. Lawrence, meanwhile, recorded the Cowboys’ only sack.
The Cowboys go on the road in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers (3-0) before hosting the Detroit Lions (2-1) the following week. Dallas will hope to have Parsons and Lawrence on the field against Pittsburgh and Detroit, two of the best teams in football.
