Micah Parsons injury update: Cowboys LB's status vs. Steelers revealed on final practice report
The decision is in on Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons. He is dealing with an ankle injury and will miss Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to the updated practice report Friday.
Parsons didn’t practice at all this week after going down on Thursday Night Football against the Giants. He’s not the only big name the Cowboys will be missing on defense, though. Trevon Diggs is questionable Sunday’s game as he works his way back from an ankle issue of his own.
Parsons wasn’t the only cowboys player listed as out for Sunday, though. Brandin Cooks will also miss the matchup after developing an infection in his knee following a procedure after last week’s matchup. Diggs, Caelen Carson and Marist Liufau are all questionable.
On the Steelers side, four players will miss the Sunday Night Football matchup. That includes running back Jaylen Warren, who’s dealing with a knee injury, and linebacker Alex Highsmith. Quarterback Russell Wilson was limited in practice this week as Justin Fields likely prepares for yet another start.

Parsons suffered a high ankle sprain last time out against the Giants and was expected to miss the matchup against the Steelers. As for a timeline for a return, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport said Dallas would be out for 7-10 days before reevaluation, which means it’s a bit unclear when he’ll be back on the field.
Diggs, however, popped up on the injury report Thursday with an ankle injury and was limited. He didn’t practice Friday, though, but still came in as questionable for Sunday. Jerry Jones called Diggs’ situation “a little scare” during Thursday’s practice, but he expected the star cornerback to play vs. Pittsburgh.
