Micah Parsons insists Dallas Cowboys are ‘a damn good football team’
Another big-time loss for the Dallas Cowboys took place on Monday night. Houston came to town and headed back South with a primetime victory over the in-state foe. Not what anybody inside the Cowboys organization wanted as the losing streak extends to five.
Even with all the struggles, Micah Parsons still thinks Dallas is a “damn good football team.” Parsons does not believe the 34-10 score against Houston reflects what they are capable of, citing how good of a job the coaching staff has done in recent weeks.
“I’m going to put this out there,” Parsons said. “We’re a damn good football team. I know the scores ain’t showing it and obviously, people feel like we have so many missing pieces… I just hate that the score don’t really show how good we actually are.”
Parsons made this comment on his podcast, speaking with cornerback Trevon Diggs. Before Parsons could finish making his point, Diggs stepped in to agree.
“I agree,” Diggs said. “I think the work that we put in in the facility, it’s hard to overcome, and it’s hard to win the game with just defense and it’s hard to win the game with just offense. It’s got to be all three cylinders… Everybody got to be clicking. But I feel like we have a really good football team. I agree with you, we really do.”

All three phases certainly were not firing against Houston. Cooper Rush and the offense struggled to put much together while the Cowboys defense struggled to stop Joe Mixon. Parsons makes the argument for it being a one-possession game at halftime but the Texans scored 17 unanswered in the second half.
Even the special teams had rough moments due to a failed fake punt and Brandon Aubrey having a rare miss on a field goal attempt.
Thankfully for Parsons and Diggs, there are still seven games remaining in the season to prove their point. Two NFC East battles are next on the schedule, heading to Washington before hosting New York on Thanksgiving.
Faith is still there from two of Dallas’ big-time stars and leaders even through the team’s struggles.
