The gridiron isn’t the only place Micah Parsons can get it done. On Friday, the Dallas Cowboys linebacker reeled in the 2024 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game MVP Award.

In the win, Parsons tallied a game-high 37 points, 16 rebounds and four steals while shooting 17-31 from the floor. Parsons played for Shannon Sharpe’s team, who took down Stephen A. Smith’s squad.

While he wasn’t facing down NBA competition, Parsons’ standout showing wasn’t limited to wide-open layups. The NFL star found multiple rim-rattling slams, deep 3s and high-flying finishes on the path to victory.

Fans who watched Parsons this past season shouldn’t be surprised by his standout performance. Standing at 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, Parsons is nothing short of a freak athlete. In the 2023 campaign, Parsons tallied 64 tackles, 14 sacks and a forced fumble.

For his efforts, Parsons was named a 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year finalist. Parsons’ MVP performance isn’t the first time he made headlines during NBA All-Star Weekend.

Stephen A. Smith clears the air about incident with Micah Parsons

At the top of Friday’s edition of First Take, Molly Qerim said Parsons crossed Stephen A. Smith – a noted Cowboys hater – up so badly, he had to go to the hospital. But when Smith joined the program, he clarified what happened and said it had nothing to do with Parsons playing him one-on-one.

“She made the whole thing up,” Smith said. “That’s No. 1. Crossed over by a Cowboy? By Micah Parsons? Are you kidding me? I got it. Let me tell my story please. I listened to your drivel, your lies to the American people. … They had the practice last night, and Shannon didn’t show up. So I go there, because I’ve got to scout my team. I’ve got to see who I’m playing, who I’m going to put on the bench, because I’m not losing this game tonight, okay? And the next thing you know, that damn Micah Parsons is on the basketball court, acting like he’s trying to sack quarterbacks and stuff, and pushing people around.

“So after that, they were sitting up there, and he and I were shooting around, shooting against one another, and there was some sweat on the floor. I literally was about to pull-up, just shooting. I literally busted my ass. I mean, feet flying in the air and everything. You see what I’m saying? I got up, it was like I was sliding, it was like I was sliding into third base or something. It was that bad.”
