Micah Parsons on rooting for Eagles to help Cowboys playoff chances: ‘F*** them’
By the time the Dallas Cowboys take the field Sunday night against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they could be eliminated from the playoffs. If the Washington Commanders can take down the Philadelphia Eagles at home, the Cowboys will still be mathematically alive. A big ask for a lot of fans, having to cheer for the hated Eagles.
Some might refuse to cheer for Philadelphia, no matter the scenario. You can add Micah Parsons into that category, telling reporters as such on Thursday. Parsons made his thoughts on the Eagles quite clear as he appears to be sick of their chatter.
“Nah, at this point, it’s f*** Philly, now. Even if we got eliminated, like, I gotta crush Philly. F*** them. I hate them now. I be seeing them talk so much on social (media),” Parsons said via The Athletic‘s Jon Machota on X.
Parsons is from Harrisburg, just about two hours away from Philadelphia. He probably has been surrounded by Eagles fans his entire life. Going to play his college football at Penn State probably had a lot of people hoping he would be drafted by the organization.

Dallas and Philadelphia have battled in the NFC East ever since Parsons was drafted into the league. This season, advantage Philly. They are currently 12-2 and even took down the Cowboys on Nov. 10, Parson’s first game back from an injury. He personally had a great afternoon, having two sacks and a TFL despite playing just over 50% of snaps.
Next Sunday, Dec. 29, will be the second meeting between Dallas and Philadelphia. Lincoln Financial Field will play host and maybe have a little more animosity toward No. 11 than usual.
The rivalry between these two teams is very real, at least between the fan bases. Parsons is bringing it to life from a player’s standpoint, being unwilling to cheer for the Eagles even if mathematical elimination is at stake.
