Micah Parsons rips Rodney Harrison for Zach Wilson comments
Micah Parsons is standing up for Zach Wilson and calling out Rodney Harrison in the process. Bizarre comments made by Harrison following Sunday Night Football went viral, forcing a number of NFL personalities to chime in on the situation.
Following Kansas City’s 23-20 win over the New York Jets on Sunday, Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones joined Harrison and others for a postgame interview. That’s when the former NFL safety referred to Wilson as “garbage,” and attempted to get Jones to mock the quarterback.
Jones didn’t take the bait, though, and conducted himself like a true professional. He gave Wilson plenty of praise after the game. And after the interview went viral, Parsons decided to chime in on social media.
“Bro honestly I’ll never understand media,” Parsons wrote on X. “This platform should been a moment to praise the chiefs and they win!! This guy is trying to completely tear Zach Wilson down!! I don’t get it!! I honestly hope Zach proves a lot of these people wrong!”
That’s a really awesome response from Parsons, who didn’t have to go out of his way to stand up for Wilson. It shows that there’s a lot of respect for the young quarterback.
Parsons played against Wilson earlier this season, leading the Cowboys to a 30-10 victory in Week 2.

Wilson is in a tough spot in New York. He was expected to serve as the backup to four-time league MVP Aaron Rodgers, who joined the Jets in the offseason via trade. Even though the former BYU star has starting experience, he was still pushed into the starting role this season.
Plus, Wilson put up a strong performance against one of the league’s best teams on Sunday. He completed 28-of-39 passes for 245 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. The quarterback was sacked just twice in the contest.
It was an odd angle from Harrison in a post-game interview. But credit Jones, who did nothing but praise Wilson after the game. And major credit to Parsons for jumping to the quarterback’s defense. Playing for another team, the Pro Bowl linebacker did not have to say anything.
The Jets own a 1-3 record through the first four weeks of the NFL season. Wilson has thrown for 712 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions. New York returns to action next Sunday against Denver, with kickoff set for 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS.
