After notching a fifth win on Sunday, Dallas Cowboys edge rushing star Micah Parsons opened up on his podcast about potential moves his team could make to bolster the roster ahead of the NFL’s trade deadline on Tuesday.

Sitting one loss behind the Eagles, Dallas is clearly heading for extra games at the end of the season, and the right trade now could make a big difference for the team that’s lost stars like Trevon Diggs through the first eight weeks.

“Giants already made a trade. I think we could make a trade, the Cowboys could make a trade to get more depth at OL or depth at corner or Dline or even linebacker,” Parsons said on The Edge, via Bleacher Report. “Missing (Leighton) Vander Esch but Markquese Bell is truly stepping up.”

Parsons would also like to see Titans star running back Derrick Henry find a new home – but not in Dallas like some have hoped.

“I want to see what the Titans do with Derrick Henry. I think the Ravens could use a trade, go get them more running back depth,” Parsons said. “Think the Chiefs could also use a trade, go get a medium-tier or elite receiver to go with Travis Kelce. Those two teams could really benefit.”

Jerry Jones mentions offensive line ahead of trade deadline

The Cowboys currently sit at 5-2 overall and the roster seems in good enough shape for the liking of owner Jerry Jones. With the October 31st trade deadline rapidly approaching, he let everyone know he doesn’t plan to make any moves.

“It doesn’t look like we’ll be doing anything,” Jones said in a tweet posted by Jon Machota of The Athletic.

It’s not that surprising, considering how the Cowboys have looked at times this year. The one area Dallas could use some extra reinforcements is on the offensive line. Jerry Jones admitted as much on Sunday.

“If you really looked at our team right now, the biggest need is depth in the offensive line,” Jones said, adding, “Everybody in the league is looking for starting offensive linemen. Everybody.”

Giants trade Leonard Williams to Seattle

The New York Giants executed a trade on Monday ahead of the NFL’s Oct. 31 deadline. New York sent Pro Bowl defensive lineman Leonard Williams to the Seattle Seahawks. In exchange for letting him go to Seattle, the Seahawks are giving New York a 2024 second-round pick and a 2025 fifth-round pick.

Williams, a former first-round draft pick out of USC, has 21 tackles so far this season, including 1.5 sacks. In the Giants’ loss to the Jets on Sunday, he posted one assisted tackle. He started his career with the Jets, playing four seasons before going to the Giants for the 2019 through 2023 seasons.

Williams had his best season in 2020, posting 57 tackles with 11.5 sacks for New York. In 2021, he signed a three-year, $63 million contract extension with the Giants.

Alas, the Giants have struggled this season and the loss on Sunday moved the team to 2-6. Letting Williams go to the Seahawks, currently 5-2 and first in the NFC West standings, gives the veteran a chance at a postseason run this year.
