Michael Jordan's son, Marcus, arrested for cocaine possession, multiple other alleged crimes

Former UCF basketball player Marcus Jordan, who is the son of NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan, has been arrested for DUI, cocaine possession and resisting arrest, according to a report from TMZ.

Marcus Jordan was arrested and booked in Orange County, California, according to the report. There are not many details about what led to the arrest that are available thus far.

Marcus Jordan is a 34-year-old from Chicago who played for UCF from 2009-12. He obviously did not have the career that his father Michael Jordan had, but he was a solid player. He earned second-team All-Conference USA honors in 2011 and was on the Conference USA All-Freshman team in 2010.

Over his three-year college basketball career, Marcus Jordan averaged 12.3 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

Marcus Jordan is one of five kids that Michael Jordan has. He is the second oldest.

Michael Jordan is arguably the greatest player in NBA history. The 61-year-old won six NBA titles and six NBA Finals MVPs over the course of his career.

The former North Carolina star also won five NBA MVP awards and was named an NBA all-star 14 times.

Michael Jordan was a two-time All-American at North Carolina and helped the Tar Heels to an NCAA title, before beginning his professional basketball career. He was drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the No. 3 overall pick in the 1984 NBA Draft.

Jordan was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in 1985, before winning his first NBA title with the Bulls in 1991. He won three straight titles in Chicago from 1991-93, then had another three-peat from 1996-98.

He originally announced his retirement from basketball in 1993 to focus on baseball, before returning to the NBA in 1995.

Jordan once again retired from the NBA in January of 1999, before returning to play for the Washington Wizards in September of 2021.He retired from the NBA for good at the conclusion of the 2023 season.

Michael Jordan finished his NBA career averaging 30.1 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.3 assists across 15 NBA seasons.

He is the NBA’s all-time leader in points per game across the regular season and playoffs. In addition, he won the NBA scoring title 10 times and earned All-Defensive First-Team nine times.

In July of 2022, ESPN ranked the 76 greatest players of all time, with Michael Jordan coming in at No. 1 on the list, ahead of LeBron James at No. 2.
