At least we won’t see any 130,000 viewer reports due to a race being pushed to CNBC. The 2025 IndyCar season should be very exciting.
Will FOX do Indianapolis 500 justice?
Over the years, NBC has put on a show for the Indianapolis 500. When you tune in, it feels like the biggest race of the year. You want to watch every lap. Even the buildup with practice, qualifying, carb day, and all that goes on leading up to the race is held in high regard.
Can we expect FOX to match that energy? In their coverage of NASCAR, the network has faced a lot of criticism. Lackluster broadcasts and calls from the booth, little to no prerace and postrace coverage, ill-timed and frequent commercials, remote broadcasts, and more.
This is a major television network. Surely they will be able to put together a quality broadcast for the Indianapolis 500. But there will be a close watch on the details from fans.
