Michigan alum Trevor Keegan claims Eagles’ stadium was louder for practice than Big House
Philadelphia Eagles rookie Trevor Keegan is preparing this week to play in his first preseason game ever. He got a preview of what it will be like all season long at Lincoln Financial on Friday night when the team hosted a public practice at the stadium, and according to the former Wolverine, the fans were on another level.
Keegan compared the 50,000 Eagles fans who came through Lincoln Financial to a crowd at the Big House. The Michigan alum is used to playing in front of crowds of 100,000 or more, but even still, he came away stunned by the noise level on the field.
“I even got a little emotional getting over to the stadium [on Thursday for the public practice]. I don’t know how many people were there, but it was louder than Michigan’s stadium. Definitely. It was rockin’. I got goosebumps,” Keegan said, via PhiladelphiaEagles.com.
Keegan ready for first preseason game with Philadelphia
Keegan, a fifth-round pick for the Eagles, is expected to play significant snaps during the first preseason game against the Ravens. Philadelphia will travel to Baltimore for a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
“I never had a preseason game in college, but I’m making sure my body is up to steam, make sure I’m getting sleep and the food that I need to get me ready for each and every day,” he said. “I think I told Fred [Johnson] in the locker room that we play a game in five days. That’s pretty cool. I’m excited.”

The Eagles selected the former Michigan guard with the No. 172 pick in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. He was an anchor on the Wolverines’ offensive line, particularly this past season. He helped Michigan to a College Football Playoff national championship victory.
Keegan earned Second-Team All-Big Ten honors in 2023 but was on the First-Team back in 2022. He was also a part of back-to-back Joe Moore Award-winning offensive lines in 2021 and ’22 with Michigan.
Though Keegan hasn’t cracked the Eagles’ first-team lineup just yet, he has taken reps when veteran Landon Dickerson has rested at practice. Philadelphia is currently nursing right guard Tyler Steen back to full health. They could call on the rookie to take reps at right guard during the preseason.
