Michigan DB Josh Wallace declares for 2024 NFL Draft
Michigan defensive back Josh Wallace has declared for the 2024 NFL Draft, he announced via social media on Sunday.
Wallace joins fellow Wolverine standouts Blake Corum and JJ McCarthy in declaring for the draft, coming six days following Michigan’s national championship victory over Washington.
He spent just one season in Ann Arbor after transferring in from UMass last offseason. During his lone season at Michigan, he finished the year with 22 solo tackles, four pass breakups and a forced fumble.
At Umass, he totaled 137 tackles 24 pass breakups and three interceptions as the leader of the Minutemen secondary.
The 6-foot, 190-pound super senior now heads into the NFL as a national champion.
Before college, Wallace was and under-ranked defensive back, playing his high school football at
DeMatha Catholic (MD) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 2,029 overall recruit in the 2019 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was the No. 196-rated cornerback in his class.
With multiple stars choosing to leave Michigan after the national title win, the main question surrounding Ann Arbor is whether Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh follows suit to the pros.

Players will have the opportunity to solidify their draft stock at the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine, to be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from February 26 through March 4.
The three-day event will be broadcast throughout the weekend on ESPN and NFL Network.
To be eligible for the NFL Draft, players must be at least three years removed from their final year of high school while having used up their collegiate eligibility.
