Michigan RB Kalel Mullings announces plans to enter 2025 NFL Draft
Michigan running back Kalel Mullings announced his decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft on Friday evening via his Instagram page. Mullings made a lengthy post on his Instagram page, detailing his plans to turn professional. He racked up 948 yards and 12 touchdowns on 185 carries in the 2024 campaign.
“Firstly, I wanna give thanks to god because without him none of this would be possible. I am so grateful for all of the challenges and blessings that have led me to where I am today. To my parents, thank you for being there with me since the beginning. You both have made countless sacrifices to help me chase my dreams and for that I am forever grateful. To Coach Harbaugh and Coach Moore, thank you for giving me the opportunity to attend and compete at a high level at this University,” Mullings wrote.
“To Coach Alford and Coach Hart thank you for pushing me and shaping me into the player I am today. To my teammates, it was an honor to compete alongside you. I’ll always cherish the bonds and memories we share. To the rest of my family, friends, and coaches, your support has meant more to me than words can describe,” Mullings continued.
“To the University of Michigan, the last five years at this University have shaped me into the man I am today. I am proud to be an alumnus of the greatest University in the world. I am excited to announce I am officially declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft,” Mullings finished.

For his entire Michigan career, he finished with 235 carries for 1,201 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns. As a receiver, he hauled in eight catches for 67 yards. In 2023, he had 36 carries for 222 rushing yards and one touchdown.
He played his high school football at Milton Academy (Boston, Massachusetts) where he was tabbed as a four-star prospect and the No. 133 overall player in the country, according to the On3 Industry Ranking for the 2020 cycle. A highly decorated prospect, Mullings was tabbed as the 2019 Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Massachusetts.
